Not because he had a sensible plan or because he was a relatable character, but because he really feels like someone who truly believes himself to be right and had the power to bend the universe to his own desires. When he cried for Gamora, it's like he's really crying for himself. Because he sacrificed someone that he believes he loves due to the twisted version of it he's conjured up in his head. Josh Brolin's measured performance as Thanos was great because it presented a megalomaniac as he should be, as someone who acts almost normal because he truly believes himself to be the only correct person who's destined to solve the problems he's told everyone they have. <cite>Dragonblade01 posted [p:900826459] in Thanos is ...
