That was just an awful way to win the war. None of the Savoirs thought to test their weapons. They didn't run into any situations on the way to the battle where they might have had to shoot walkers. And they all shot at the same time.

It's...complicated.

Rick often goes to Negan for leadership advice but it's clear the two still hate each other. Eventually it gets to a point where the new Big Bad comes along and Negan manages to escape, but rather than betraying Rick he actually brings the new Big Bad's head to him to show his loyalty. It gets to the point where Negan ends up saving Rick's life and they have a heart to heart while trapped inside a house surrounded by walkers.

No they only have 1 or two episodes of actual happenings and it usually starts with the first one. Then we get about 4 or 5 of gardening and self-reflection, then maybe more stuff happens.

If it's not Negan tonight, I'm out, that's it.
I've suffered through the last season in the futile hope they'd make a serious move and nothing has happened. I knew they were going to bump off Michonne, CORRAL or both as soon as we saw Rick crying and moaning about what was lost way back at the start of the season and nothing consistently interesting has happened for a long time now so they need to end the Negan storyline one way or the other or lose most of the the audience permanently.
