Risky's revenge and the pirate's curse

I didn't beat them from start to finish, I've been working on the both for a little while- started RR forever ago, stop playing it, started Pirate's curse like two weeks ago, beat it, then finished RR.

Both are super fun games. I recommend them to any who may like Metroidvania games.

I also recommend looking at some of Wayfowards other games. They make some good shit

I think they're bland.

the combat is a littlelacking, but i think they're cool games with fun characters. If they could up the combat some how in the next game, that be great. Maybe make magic more useful and unique. And maybe have more types of attacks. They would also need to adjust the enemies as well.

pirate's curse is for sure better than RR, and might in my top 10-15 games of all time. super fun game and I like exploring in it. More fun than exploring in some metroid games.

lol, I'm no where near good enough to do that, and I typically don't like speed running games like this.

Good games, but both times they took all my stuff and gave it to the end boss to use against me. Those were the only things I didn't like. Would let kids play these games but adults can enjoy the game too.

Half genie hero is great too. And it only needed 1/4 of mighty no 9's budget.

Heh, I thought the same thing. At least in RR they only took away your transformations, which are kinda useless for fights.

Yeah, I'll probably get it when it goes on sale again. I'm sure it's worth the 20 bucks that it is, but I've seen it go on sale a few times already.

I might even get the gbc game and play it. Supposedly it's one of the best gbc games.

I played Risky's Revenge. It's not terrible, but it's not really great either. IIRC there were only three levels/dungeons and only one of them was interesting enough to be fun. The game needed to be at least twice as long, just for starters. Almost any similar game I've ever played is significantly better. (I guess one exception would be Bubsy.)
