I like Seattle style the best.

I put on cream cheese, fried onions, jalapeno's, sourcrout and sriracha sauce.

Best hot dog.

I live just outside Seattle and I have never heard of this.

I guess it's not that popular then.

Also, I used an obsolete spelling of Sauerkraut for some reason.

Sonora style is the best.

Otherwise I go chili/cheese/mustard.

My general ketchup stance applies here. I don't mind it, but I don't need it.

ketchup + mustard for hotdogs. that's the only time i ever eat ketchup. also need to add eggs to the MWC ketchup hate list. second-worst thing i've ever heard of putting ketchup on after steak.

You are right.

Eggs? Fuck you, salt and pepper maybe, cheese if you scramble or put it on a sandwich.

How do you eat that without throwing up

the same way normal human beings eat food without throwing up

At that point in time you aren't eating the ketchup as much as you are drinking it.

ketchup goes well with basically any potato (fries, wedges, hash browns, tots) and any fried food (KFC, onion rings, fish and chips). I mean, other sauces are great too, but sometimes I just want ketchup.

also it's good for cooking. last night I did pork chops in a soy sauce + ketchup + sriracha + honey sauce, and it was great.

ketchup on eggs is weird though

i feel like ketchup can automatically bring any bland food up to a minimum of a 4/10 experience. maybe even up to like a 7/10.

however, it doesn't help food that's already great

so ketchup is good at what it does

The distinct flavor of foods I add ketchup to still vividly come through to me. The ketchup always tastes like it's "just in front of" or "beside" whatever I'm eating... if that makes sense at all. It doesn't mix or change the food fundamentally.

Maybe that's just an example of one variation from person to person on how they sense taste.

That's definitely why I don't like ketchup in 99% of cases - it's so much of a short-term flavor that doesn't mix with the rest of the flavors at all.
