you could do it gradually. or just do what i'm doing right now and eat like 80-90% vegan while indulging every now and then. i've lost a lot of weight and look a lot better since I started it

I haven't had beef/pork or dairy in months. I still eat chicken/seafood/eggs but not as much. it's not hard at all if your mind is into it tbh

What a dumb idea. Let me get on a diet so abnormal and unnatural I literally need a supplement plan to be healthy.

You don't "need" to do shit. If that's what you want to do then do it.

Then why the hell are you going vegan then?

Youre literally sacrificing the finer things in life for a healthier lifestyle.

Get outta my sight.

I dont know if all Targets have them, but the one near me carries a brand called Gardein which sells vegan "fish sticks," vegan "beef tips," vegan "oriental chicken" as well as these burritos by a company called Sweet Earth. That stuff is all cheaper at Target than any place I've seen in town. Wal-Mart might carry it too, I don't know though.

I've been vegan for about 5 months, haven't looked back. this is coming from someone who used to eat primarily junk food, meat, and dairy. I still don't eat enough fruit and vegetables but I'm healthy enough

Just start replacing the meat in your meals with other things. Add more beans, lentils, tofu, etc.

What meals do you generally eat right now?

I haven't had to take supplements in a while. look at the back of your cereal box and you'll be amazed at how much iron is in that stuff. B12 is the only thing that's hard to come by naturally, but the only reason animals have it is because of bacteria, not because it's naturally occurring in them.

if youre talking protein, there is plenty in soy products, pea protein powder, hemp protein, etc etc. as well as the fake cheese slices, almond milk, soymilk, tofu, etc. you can't be protein deficient. and even if you believe that, you can still take vegan whey protein powder to get your desired 1g/lb of protein a day.

Do it at a pace that works for you. ThyCorndog has the right idea about it, and you could start with something like the inverse of him if going cold turkey is too hard; e.g. cut meat for two days of the week and ramp it up gradually

We live in an unnatural environment. Your dairy, factory farmed meat, oils, and drinking of treated water is as abnormal and unnatural as it gets.

The natural source of B12 is drinking untreated water from a pond/lake. B12 you get from animal products is from contamination or supplements given to the animals. Most Americans that have adequate B12 are getting it from fortified cereals anyway. When'd you last check your B12 levels? Your natural Cap'n Crunch diet probably has you covered.

There's no other supplement needed.

I dont eat cereal, basically just grass fed pastured beef, goat, butter, and cheese. Pastured free range poultry and eggs. Wild caught salmon. Beans, Rice potatoes, and a ton of veggies is my diet.
