- I don't care about YouTubers, Twitch streamers or Lets Play's. If they're not mentioned here I probably won't know them
- I don't follow any eSports at all
- I'm not into MOBA's or hero shooters and barely know anything about them
- I haven't played PUBG or Fortnite
- I don't use Snapchat or Instagram

There's probably more I'm forgetting. Starting to feel old now tbh

I either know nothing about anything mentioned in the OP or only know it by name mentioned here on CE.

I only use computers to surf the internet and do what I have to do at work. I know zero about them mechanically and how they work.

I have no interest in PC gaming.

I have no interest in VR.

This is probably the last generation of video gaming I will participate in.

only games i really play anymore are CRPGs, shmups, my switch, and modded skyrim so its actually fun

In my case:

- Only watch a few select Youtube channels. Most of the apparently 'popular' ones I'm completely ignorant about. Twitch? Haven't used that ever.
- The only eSports I watched was Korean Starcraft matches way back in 1999-2002ish. I don't even know what kind of eSports is around these days. I've seen that LoL thing but it's really just a flashier DotA to me(I didn't even play that one, come to think of it).
- MOBAs? Hero shooters? What's that?
- PUBG? Fortnite? What's that?
- Never used Instagram. Snapchat? What's that?

Bonus: I live with a CRT TV and a VCR hooked up to it in my bedroom.

I don't mean out of touch as a whole. Just certain aspects.

YouTube and Twitch are ridiculously popular with younger gamers. For some that's how they experience most games.

Technology is so broad and widely applicable that it's hard to know what the threshold is for being "out of touch" with technology. I work in and study IT, so there are aspects of technology that I'm becoming pretty familiar with, but at the same time, I don't keep up with or care about all the latest mobile apps or anything like that.

Have you ever noticed some huge popular thing in tech that you just have no experience in? Maybe because you're older than most people who use it? I just mean stuff like that.

I have young nephews and a wife who's a teacher so I feel it a bit more maybe. I feel like I'm now todays version of that older person who didn't know how to say Pokmon.

I stay pretty up to date with consumer tech due to my job as a cable installer (so I see all the fancy new TVs and gadgets people get and want to connect).

My backlog of games is hopelessly long on the single player front but I still try to keep up with what's popular on the multiplayer scene and give one a try every once in awhile (haven't really found something that sticks for me lately, last game I was really into was FF14 and thoughts of resubbing are starting to surface)

Social media is a disease and I don't use it besides my fake Twitter that I rarely log into

Also don't give a fig about e-celebs of any kind

those touch pad iphones are too complex for me :(.

I only got a 3DS last year
My newest non-handheld console is a wii that I got off of eBay, maybe 5 years ago

I think the newest game I own came out in 2014.

Haven't played xb1 or ps4 ever. Not interested in buying either.
