You have 6 Pokemon slots to counter counters. It's never gonna be some crazy balanced thing amongst types because it doesn't need to be.

I guess there was an argument that Dragon types were op because Ice types were garbage and usually used non-STAB before Fairies came along and nerfed them to the ground, but now Fairies are considered pretty powerful
