Slowly working your way up until eventually you could free ride the entire mountain top to bottom, take branching paths, hitting some of the courses on the way down but being able to just keep going

I didn't really play Tricky until, like, the last six months but I grew up with the first SSX and 3. Tricky is really good, it's a good remix of the first game with more stuff thrown in. But it doesn't top 3. The open mountain aspect, as well as the decrease in how repetitive the events are now makes for a more streamlined and fun time.

I never did play the reboot either, which I heard was surprisingly decent. It wasn't upon release. It took several months and several patches before it became a somewhat okay SSX game.
