Upper East side. Anything I order for delivery will be over $10. If I could walk outside, I could maybe get a slice of pizza for $3 but I never really get to go out anymore.

No, food is one of my favorite things in life, can't cheap out on it. I eat out a couple times a week at least, usually.

Does this adjust for inflation?

If not in a few decades you would legit starve to death on this restriction.

Yeah, it adjusts.

Well if it rolls over and adjusts for inflation...might be worth it. Eat frugal most the year(Oatmeal, Ramen, Bulk rice/cereal, bannanas etc.) than pig out on a handful of occasions.

I can't blame them. I didn't grow up on a farm growing crops and shit so I don't know anything about that life. And also the way I phrased the question made it seem like you had to buy the food from a store, which is actually the scenario I had in mind when I created this thoughtful topic.

Neither did I. At a few times throughout my life I've had (or lived with people who have) a small vegetable garden and maybe a fruit tree. Now obviously that alone isn't enough to sustain someone, but someone on a "$20 a week for food limit but otherwise pretty much infinite money, and growing your own food might be a useful loophole" would likely upgrade far beyond that scale.

That could be split into 4 meals. 2 meals a day for 7 days would only cost me $16. I can even treat myself and add some ground beef with the money left over.
