For most it's enjoying the personalities. For some it's people trying to live vicariously through them, or a sort of "friend simulator" that they watch because they feel like they know the person and have some feeling of friendship with them despite never actually meeting them or knowing them as anything but what they portray themselves as in their videos.

I don't like them or watch any but I imagine it's the same as gaming channels appeal. Yeah, you could be like "why are you watching someone else play a game?" but that's not really what the appeal is.

Jacksfilms is fucking hilarious and his comedy is worth watching them for. His ate jokes anyways.

But still even if people find entertainment out someone's content who are you or I to argue they're right or wrong for liking it?

The whole "surrogate friends" thing comes straight out of Fahrenheit 451 which warns against it, and it only becomes more and more real with each passing year.

It's objectively wrong to like this sort of stuff because it represents a civilization on the verge of collapse.
