The anime started off promising, but after the 8th episode, the story, writing, and characters have gone further downhill with each subsequent episode. You don't know how the writers could make things worse than the last time, but they somehow manage to pull it off. It's almost downright offensive how bad this show has gotten.

You are about 2/3's of the way through, with no guarantee that it will improve at all.

Do you drop the show at this point, or do you stick with it since you made it that far?

If it was really trash, I'd probably just read a summary of the rest to see if its worth watching.

I finished Charlotte and this was basically what happened in half the time.

Some may feel that if they made it over half of the way through, they might as well finish it off, especially if it's less than 10 episodes.

Keep watching. A lot of shows dip in the middle a bit since they're saving budget for the finale.

Sometimes I drop it, sometimes I continue.

lol Charlotte has an amazing episode 1, becomes generic from then on until episode 6. Becomes amazing again until episode 10. Becomes utter nonsense from then to the end.

I'd drop unless I truly had nothing better to do, which is unlikely. Well I guess if episodes 8-17 are a single are I might look up if it's just that arc that's bad.

Although if episode 8 was where it went bad, I'd probably not have gotten to episode 17. I'd probably stop after episode 12 or so.

Its only 13 episodes, but if I finished Elfen Lied, I can finish anything.
