Because obviously there are some teachers who are willing to throw themselves in the line of fire to stop these shooters or try to save people. They should be able to be armed while doing so.

But the staff should all know which teachers have guns to avoid confusion if someone does ever have to use one.

Can we agree that if a teacher was to be armed, they should have to undergo special training? Just having a gun isn't going to save anyone, you have to know how to handle the situation without getting yourself or an innocent bystander killed.

There's so many things that can go wrong. You could mistake someone else for the shooter, or the police could mistake YOU for the shooter.

Has there ever been a case where a random guy with a gun saved the day and prevented a potential mass shooting? What about that guy who shot up an army base full of trained soldiers, shouldn't they of all people been able to stop him if it was that easy?

There's too many things that can go wrong if that were to happen. Like the person above said. Plus I don't think that any of those teachers that would be willing to be armed could possibly predict how they'd react in a situation like that. Nobody can.

I don't know if any school personnel should be armed or not, but I will say that law enforcement officers are largely ineffective against active shooters because LFO's can't respond quickly enough. Dozens of students and staff die before the first LFO shows up. I doubt most teachers would want the extra responsibility of taking down a shooter, but it's also sad to read of unarmed teachers getting killed.

That's why all schools need Security Camera's / Microphone's everywhere along with 24/7 recordings of the campus for Parental / School Board monitoring of actions.

They also need a "Private YouTube" for Parents / School Board to monitor their actions.

Parents have a right to see what kind of non-sense teacher's may be trying to teach their kids and have the right to complain / get said Teacher fired for teaching of non-sense.

That's why I'm for increasing the Income Tax Brackets, not decreasing them.

You can't pay for this kind of stuff on a shoe string budget
