Play Xenoblade undocked then play it docked. Literally makes a PSX looking game look like a current gen game

The dock really doesn't do anything other than provide additional USB ports and an HDMI port.
The Switch just increases its GPU clockspeed when docked. --- Physician [Internal Medicine] ... Copied to Clipboard!

The Switch just increases its GPU clockspeed when docked. my point being, i want something that lets it unleash 1080 and smoooooother framerates, 60fps, etc and maybe it can turn on without the switch in it, so you can have different functionalities for games could be like the wii u almost --- ... in theory they could do that but I'm not sure how exactly they would implement it or if it would be feasible
maybe in a year or two they'll do a Switch XL or something that just runs docked speeds all the time or something --- Billy Mays: July 20, 1958 - June 28, 2009 The Greatest ... Copied to Clipboard!

The dock really doesn't do anything other than provide additional USB ports and an HDMI port. Not quite. It also provides power straight from the AC. It's possible they tested a "high power portable" mode and found that it was too hard on the battery (got too hot / wore out too fast / caused charging issues later) --- ... Copied to Clipboard!

I don't think it's that feasible. There's only some USB ports that they could use to do that. In that case the PS4 and Xbox One could also use add-ons for extra juice but they don't.

Honestly, I know this is superficial but it never stops blowing my mind that the Switch's graphics are closer to current gen than PS3/X1, but in such a comically small tablet. It feels far less hamstrung by its hardware than the Wii did back in 2005.
