Heard it used during a podcast. A caller was asking if her white male bf should pay more since shes IBPOC and despite making more money than him that group overall has less wealth

Just because I don't think it's clear enough in OP's post, IBPOC stands for "Indigenous (people), Black (people), and People of Colour". Not a person who is specifically "Indigenous (and) Black".

it's assumed that latin@s and asians fall under the "poc" component, but why "black" has somehow been separated from that umbrella is not so clear
