Honestly I am a better cook then my mother ever was. She stuck to a lot of traditional french dishes which are awesome in their own way, but didn't really go outside the norm. Me and my Fiance usually cook together every night after work.

We decided to try Japanese cooking about a month ago with Japanese style curry and Rice Omelets, both were awesome and I feel like after experimenting with it a little more will be more or less on authentic levels.

We also make crazy good chicken balls, make our own sweet and sour sauce, it's a fav when we have get together's.

I know this was kinda a sexist bait topic, but I wanted to brag about cooking regardless, but to stick to the theme. Do you think Men will be at good as home and auto repair as their Fathers? It doesn't seem to be something most younger guys are into.

In general, i don't think so.

Lots of men and women cant cook today, I learned because I wanted to make my own meals that tasted really good. Started with spagetti and meatballs, a few other pastas and went from there.
