I don't like Trump but its a pretty common mistake.

Its also a weird term if you think about it. "Attorney General" is a position title, like "Chief Justice" or "Administrative Assistant." When talking about more than one of the other position titles the second words gets the "s", why is Attorney General different?

I'm kind of curious actually.

Because "general" is an adjective that describes the noun "attorney". You can't have a plural adjective.
