I just saw the movie.

It's good, but it's overrated the same way Wonder Woman is overrated. Not saying it wasn't good, it just wasn't great. The movie itself is rather small scale and some of the characters were not well-developed.

And please don't tell me the sister is smarter than Stark...they just say she is without actually showing it. Not a good way to develop a character, but then again, the movie wasn't about her.

I would give the movie an 8/10. Not even close to the best Marvel movie, but one of the better ones.

Not saying she is smarter than him, but she's the head of research and development for the entire nation. She's at least partially responsible for the creation of the suit, and given that it's practically invulnerable, speaks a lot to how smart she is.

What is the big deal about it? There have been black comic book hero movies already.

Pick as many as you want:
Black history month.
Anything against a "black" race makes you racist even if they are to stupid to realize its not racism.

Nice hard victim card you're throwing there. Stop lumping a very small handful of radicals as if they are anywhere close to a majority. That's just stupid.

Maybe people are just finally getting tired of all these shitty superhero movies.

It was zombies in the 2000s, comic books in the 2010s. What will it be in the 2020s? Cyberpunk?

Cant even give us black people a movie lmao.

Lmao nah. One majority black cast movie and people cry foul. Majority white movie and its just "Hollywood". Diverse cast and its SJWs.

Tons of all black (or nearly) cast movies are released every year ever since the 90's, albeit direct-to-video... unless you're talking about a Tyler Perry Madea masterpiece. Just sayin.

No one is excited because of its all black cast. Its because its giving young black kids a figure in the media to look up to.

There's been black super heroes before but they were either questionable in their morals (Blade, Spawn), comedy acts (Meteor Man, Shazam) or side kicks (Every black character in a super hero movie)

Its nice to have a serious black movie that isnt a movie about slavery

She also has access to almost limitless Vibranium, combined with a legacy of technology innovation...so creating a suit like that is impressive, but not that impressive. Don't forget that Black Panther's agility comes from the flower, not the suit, so the suit is just protection, not a battle suit like Iron Man's. She is a smart girl for sure though.

Imagine what Stark can do with limitless access to Vibranium. Stark's Arc Reactor (build in a cave...with a box of scraps...) is a technical marvel and his creation of Jarvis, Ultron (MCU) and his Suits are on a different level.

What I like about Stark's development as a genius is that they show how he built everything from scratch and tested it over and over again until he got it right. Shuri is like...here's a smart girl...just believe us.

So after seeing it, all I can say is that it's just another marvel flick. Nothing amazing, just more hero biz.
