I feel like most people just do it because society expects them to, but they never actually stop to think about it.

Why should I spend a massive amount of time and money on a stranger? Sure you can say that you are related to them, but that really doesn't mean anything. You aren't becoming immortal by reproducing--you kid isn't you. You could easily end up hating each other, and they could squander all your money once you die.

There is nothing inherently worthwhile about passing on your genetics (maybe aside from some irrational personal pride).

Not to mention the fact that there are ethical questions surrounding bringing someone into the world without their consent. By creating life, you are creating the capacity to feel pain.

At the end of the day, I just don't see the benefit at all. By choosing not to reproduce, you would save a massive amount of time and money over the course of your life, thereby dramatically increasing your standard of living.

Tbh most people are sheeps. They're completely unable to think outside the box, freaks out when someone does something differently than how most people do, believe everything they hear in news or from other people.

Straight people fuck - the guy doesnt wear a condom - the guy gets off and deeds inside a vagina - so happens its the right time of the month for it to matter and the bitch dropped the ball on birth control or it just failed that time.

I was referring more to the act of consciously choosing to reproduce. Obviously some people are just morons and do it on accident, but that isnt what this topic is about.

I dont think this topic is about planned children

It obviously is. The entire first post is about the advantages of choosing not to reproduce instead of choosing to.
