If you want some context:
The guy was drunk and was shooting an airsoft gun out his window. The cops thought he was armed and dangerous, and were trying to make sure he wouldn't quickly pull out a gun and fire.
But their directions were ridiculous and stupid and definitely led to that man's death.

Tactically, that was an easy situation to resolve. Stand him up, make him turn around with his hands in the air, and walk him back toward your voice. Talk him to the ground, effect cover and contact arrest.

Im a conservative and a die heart Republican. Sometimes you got to go through an experience like this to understand. The police are not always right.

Once I was stopped by the police in Chicago when Walking home from the bus stop. The officer saw my Marine Corps book bag that I got from MCRD San Diego when I went to boot camp there and told me he hates the military and republicans and how he wants to kill them and how hes going to kill me.

Most people didnt believe this happened to me. However when this same officer was caught in video shooting a suspect 16 times and is in the news in Chicago.

There are a lot of professions out there where lives are on the line at a moment's notice, but police work seems to be the only one where they actually flip out and kill people.

These cops deserve to be killed for murdering a drunk kid who was zero threat to them, the one cop is clearly looking for any excuse to kill and after all the confusing directions found one.

Sober people would be hard pressed to not be murdered by this asswipe with all the shouting and raging.

Not only is this unprofressional as fuck but completely mishandled.

No one with 2 brain cells rubbing together is going to approach that. Not knowing how many people, how many guns, etc... Go to make an arrest and 3 people pop out of the room with uzis, nah pass. Bring the suspect to you.

what part of "the cop handled that terribly" are you failing to understand? Fine, don't go up to him. there are better ways to bring the suspect to you than that. he told him to crawl, with his hands up and said if he feels like he's gonna fall he better fall on his face....how about, you know, having him stand up after he gave himself up and walk towards you with his hands up?

I completely get what you're saying. you're right. it would have been unsafe for him to just walk up to the room...but for you to say the cop handled that in the best way possible is incredibly stupid and shows your bias.

Arizona is a open carry state which is different. You can openly carry.

Most likely a tourist from another state saw a gun and freaked and the cops even though its an open carry site most dont like when people open carry even though its legal.

I dont like to wish harm on anyone, but the cop in that video disgusts me and makes me sick. That is a very sick and twisted man to take someones life like that

The issue is someone saw a gun through his window. Meaning a guy was holding a gun in his hotel room not pointing it out and someone freaked out and called the police.

Arizona is an open carry state so he can legally carry his gun outside. The issue is you most likely have a tourist not aware of the law and you have the police who dont like when people carry regardless.

Also it wasnt a gun and if it was he would have the legal right in that state to carry inside or outside.

People in YouTube have been doing police audits to make sure they dont harass people for exercising there freedoms

A) Never did I excuse the officer's actions. I stated play stupid games, win stupid prizes. Which I was promptly told to "fuck off"

B) open carry or not, sticking a gun out the window of a building is still illegal.

When I was a police officer, one of the guys in my department, in his early thirties, responded to domestic violence call in apartment building on it's 3rd floor. On the 2nd floor landing, the suspect shot from the 3rd floor and hit him in the neck and paralyzed him for the rest of his life. Routine call and no idea any guns would be involved.

All this cop knew was there's a gun. He didn't know about the drinking or the gift or anything people found out about after the fact. He didn't know how many people in the room, didn't know how many or what kind of guns, all he knew was at least one person in that room had a gun. Guy reached for his waistband, a location known for people to frequently hold a gun, after repeated directions to not put his hand there. It was a hallway, where line of sight is already narrowed, so having him walk backwards would have severely cut even more line of sight than they barely had to begin with.

thats funny that you try to take responsibility off the individual. last time i was drunk in public and cops came up to me i co-operated with them and spent the night in a drunk tank.

it's almost like some people have the intellect to not shoot fake guns out of windows, or to make any other stupid decisions.

taking responsibility away from the person in this case is solving nothing. he had the choice to do what he did, knowing full well it could be mistaken for a real gun, and he paid the price. if you keep trying to defend him, i'm sorry but you're in just as much of the wrong as the cop.
