I was lurking reddit and CE and people keep saying stop showing the shooters name and face. Show the victims. I'm wondering do people actually look through the victims pics? Or it just the number like say (insert number) people died is the only thing people care about names and pics of victims dont matter.

I don't really care to read up on a mass shooting, because I already know there's going to be another one next month anyways. Since the country refuses to do anything to reduce shootings. Just gotta accept the new normal.

Kind of this, but I feel like part of their story being told only helps cement the reality of what has occurred. The details are usually only a few sentences too so it doesnt take much time out of your day to like... honor the dead and such.
