Years ago I applied at securitas. Interview went well, but I was not given a good job offer. I would have made $10.75/hour, would have worked afternoon and overnights and had Monday/Tuesday off. Pretty abysmal schedule. Not only that, but the position required lots of walking room to room and reporting security violations. I applied there because I wanted to sit on my butt. No thanks.

I do armed security for a municipal court.

Most unarmed sites make ~$10.

Armed makes closer to $15.

I used to work security for my last job, and wven applied to Securitas myself before I found my current job.

Hours tend to be terrible along with the staff, especially when your replacement officer for the next shift calls in last minute and forces you to work a double.

Securitas turned my application down due to wanting a higher wage than $10 an hour.

I applied for security position but it was the same thing, only 10 bucks an hour and it was unarmed security work in a factory in the middle of a Chicago ghetto.

I said no thanks. I don't understand how security guards survive only making 10 dollars an hour...

Our police department is in the same building, so people are pretty tame.

$15-18 for armed

Depending on the company you work for determines on if they have standing, sitting, or a mix of both for a work site. Some companies ask you what you prefer, others just tell you what site to go to.

Yeah Newark is always full of idiots finding the worst kind of drugs and trying to hurt themselves or others when high. I saw a guy try to gnaw his dick off once, thankfully he was restrained
