Symphony. I know that's a tired answer but w/e, I fucking love that game to pieces.

Of course the original, III, IV, Rondo, Circle of the Moon, Harmony of Dissonance, Aria & Dawn, Eclesea, Lament of Innocence and Curse of Darkness are all pretty great too.

Aria of Sorrow is probably the one I'd pick if I can only have one. My fondest memories are with Circle of the Moon for some reason. Obviously SotN is GOAT tier imo

SotN of course.

My favorite non metroidvania Castlevania is hands down Super though. 3 is pretty good too.

Symphony of the night even though I didn't finish it. I have finished Dawn of Sorrow and Order of Ecclesia

The GBA games are more fun to play now but only because I have SotN way too memorized.

I think it's one of the DS ones. I like them all a lot so it's hard to pick one, leaning towards Order of Ecclesia though.

Also really liked Lament of Innocence, Order of Ecclesia, Dawn+Aria of Sorrow, Portrait of Ruin, and Harmony of Despair

Symphony, Curse, and Lament have some great music

Super IV, SotN, and Aria of Sorrow are,my favorites. Harmony of Despair was a blast in its own way, but hard as balls considering I rarely had good enough internet to play with others.

Symphony is a close second. Richter is probably my favorite to play as overall though.

Edit: So I guess Dracula X Chronicles is the real second one, simply for ease of access between the four games on it.

what really put dawn of sorrow as the top for me was the one glitch towards the end of the game that really changed it up

I've only played Aria of Sorrow, Dawn of Sorrow, and Order of Ecclesia. OoE has better bosses (even though they're tough as nails), but I liked DoS better.

I've only played the first three games in the series and enjoyed Castlevania 3 the most since you could get different helpers each time and do different paths.
