Im 27. I recently settled down into a career, with a steady girlfriend that I live with. Ive got a dog. Im going to be proposing later this year. Im good for the most part.

It seems like the last few years though the world has been turned upside down though. Obviously bad things happen. Just feels like the world is more divided than ever, and weve almost become complacent in that. I really feel like its become increasingly difficult to have an honest conversation with people about politics or religion or even Sports without hate being brought into it. Mind you its not a huge part of my life and maybe thats why I dont lean to the extreme in any of these things (except Sports).

Just feels like the older Ive got, the more black and white the world has gotten around me. Is that normal?

Honesty can't be applied to either politics or religion though, so trying to have an honest conversation about either is relatively pointless.

I totally agree. Just feels like in my life, socially speaking, theres a lot of hate and divide in my peers.

Politics used to mean that every four years everyone started talking about abortion and gay marriage and largely got along inbetween. Now EVERYTHING is politics and kids are exposed to it all a lot younger.
