The professor just used the word in reference, and then black people literally threatened him.

The Weekly Standard is an American conservative opinion magazine published 48 times per year. Its founding publisher, News Corporation, debuted the title on September 18, 1995. Originally edited by founders William Kristol and Fred Barnes, the Standard has been described as a "redoubt of neoconservatism" and as "the neo-con bible."

. . .

Many of the magazine's articles are written by members of conservative think tanks located in Washington: the American Enterprise Institute, the Ethics and Public Policy Center, the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, the Hudson Institute, as well as the Foreign Policy Initiative.

Last week, students walked out of his class after he asked a question using the racial slur. What is worse, a white man punching a black man, or a white man calling a black man a [n-word]? Rosen asked students the question in the class Cultural Freedoms: Hate Speech, Blasphemy, and Pornography. Some students objected to Rosens use of the word, saying that it was offensive and prevented them from learning. They argued with him and then walked out

These are supposed to be top tier college students lmao

so he used it as part of teaching and not as a racial slur? there is a big difference and if it was as an educational vehicle people threatening him are thin skinned bitches (which threatening someone usually indicates that anyway). if it was out of malice he should be fired, if it was part of the course work people are just whiny bitches

Sounds like both the teacher and the students learned a very valuable lesson regarding free speech.
