Its part of what makes the story so wonderful imo. Space and time are so vast that entire histories of races could come and go in the furthest parts and we'd be none the wiser.

So the earth has actually existed for approximately 1/3 the actual age of the universe. Humans have been on earth for something along the range of tens of thousands or maybe a hundred or two hundred thousand years So there's plenty of time --- I don't hate people, people hate me. ...
