Think Harry would do fine, at least movie Harry. He broke the elder wand so maybe he wouldn't be tempted by the ring.

Imagine Harry and Ron, going to Mount Doom to destroy the ring.. Yeah that quest is screwed, they'll die. Especially once they reach Shelob (which they wouldn't, they'd probably die right after leaving the Shire)
