judging by all these "geek culture" youtubers it's....being an otherwise totally standard person but you subscribe to lootcrate and you watch marvel movies the day they come out instead of a week later

and maybe play 1 or 2 non-cod/madden games a year

It means you enjoy talking and representing geeky things in your life? Like, some people would be willing to put up posters and little trinkets and stuff showing off that they live life enjoying nerd culture, versus other people who happen to enjoy a few nerdy things sometimes but don't consider it important to themselves as a whole.

Sure, I was just differentiating between actual "geeks" and people who consider themselves part of "geek culture", specifically professional youtubers like you mentioned in your first post. People who wouldn't like being called a geek, but want others to know they consume products geeks like.

It's basically the virgin vs. chad meme but all the stuff on the chad side is likely whatever the "in thing" is as far as video games/comics/other nerd stuff is concerned, where as the virgin side probably has things that have been around for a while that all the newbie nerds think is lame.
