I was browsing Yahoo stories when I came across a weird story where a Father of 42 impregnated his biological Daughter of 20 years old. Both were charged with "incest with adult, adultery, contributing to delinquency."

I knew all those things are discusting but I didn't know it was illegal. Another question... should it be? Sure I'll look down on you for some crazy shit like this and would never want to associate with you but... if they both wanted to do it and are both of age.. isn't it weird that is illegal?

I suspect it's one of two things (or both):

1. People hear "incest" and automatically think some sort of force/coercion is involved, and they're legislating based on that even though sometimes everyone is a consenting adult.

2. Nobody wants their name attached to the fight for less restrictive incest laws.

as for this case, the girl was adopted and never met her father until she was 20. he didn't raise. she wasn't groomed. and she was an adult. the case is fucked up and shows that oppression still happens in this country
