I lose track of who did which dub. Ocean was the original that went up to Goku defeating Recoome, correct? If so I really enjoyed that dub.

Yeah, Goku sounded like a 17 year old. Vegeta's voice matched his small body though.

Vegetas voice was the only one I liked from that dub, everything else was trash

People hated the Funi dub when it started from when Goku started his fight with Ginyu. Prior to that, people loved it, but that was on repeat for several years. Nothing was done to further it and eventually Funi did a great job and people don't even know Ocean continued the dub outside the US.

I think both have their strong points. I wish they could've blended the two together cuz on one hand Bryan Drummond is the superior Vegeta, and I liked Piccolo's voice a lot in the Ocean dub.

But I can't fucking picture anyone besides Sean Schemmel doing Goku ever again. Everything else just sounds wrong.

I thought Ocean was spot on. Ian Corlett's Goku was great. He used the same voice for Cheetor and MegaMan prior. Scott McNeil's Piccolo was good too. While I did enjoy the initial Funimation dub that followed it took me a few episodes to get used to certain voices. Richard Newman did an excellent Capt Ginyu for Ocean, but then Funi had Dale Kelly play him, as well as the narrator, and it was the same higher-pitched voice. He didn't even try to emulate Newman.

Vegeta was another. Chris Sabat took a few episodes to get his tone right. You can tell a big difference from Goku vs. Jeice & Burter to later on when fighting Ginyu at the ship.

Funimation at least has some emotion in their voices.

I really liked the Ocean dub. Ocean Vegeta was good and Ocean Piccolo was godlike.
