My mom has it, but it can be medicated.
One aunt of mine had it, but she passed away, towards the end she couldn't remember me or my mom or her other sisters....
Now, I just got the news that another aunt has it....
Is it hereditary, am I gonna go crazy and start to forget where I am? I'm scared, CE..

It won't even be a problem anymore once you start to get it probably.

just have a will that says "put me out of my misery should ____ happen". Hopefully by the time rolls around society will have enough sense to allow us a dignified death

What do you people think medication does for dementia?

lessens the symptoms. or i could just say TC would be screwed i could say that if you want since there's no cure.

I don't like the idea of not knowing where I am, or forgetting people I love, or just not knowing what's going on in general

Yeah, most meds help with the side effects like stress, or sleep disruption. Nothing for the actual.

Could easily be environmentally caused since they all grew up together. What about grandparents?? Did they have it?

Well I guess if you want to be active in preventing or at least staving it off as long as possible, you should learn what foods and supplements you can take to help with that.

I'd have to ask around. Not sure about my moms dad, he died before I met him. My grandmother may have, but I'd have to ask my mom. Everyone who's had it is on her side, but she has a history of mental illness. Depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, etc.

Alzheimers?

The worst part is not forgetting things. Its at the start when you know something is wrong, you lose the ability to do simple things, like how to use a fork, and you can be aware of that at first. This will be super hard for you. Eventually you wont be aware you are sick tho.

i give FF_Redux some credit. he does post some good food most of the time long as it doesn't involve kale or collard greens.
