I actually work with MRI machines, not as a medical professional but as a structural mechanic. We do the reinforcements to buildings before the machine is installed, because they weigh upwards of 30,000 pounds. Rule one of working around an MRI:

I have had 4 MRI in the past 2 years. These are really cool machines. Wished they didn't reveal so many images with so many scars in my brain, though :(
