I don't. They've been upping their game with free titles lately. Deus ex mankind divided this month(as well as putting the season pass on sale for $4.50), and the batman telltale game, and darksiders 2 last month.

Far cry 4 is honestly not a big game anymore. And it makes sense, renewing interest in the series before far cry 5 comes out.

and weapons do do that, but the game is just brutally hard in comparison. DS2 vanilla is the easiest in the series; SotFS is the hardest. it's jarring.

Maybe its because I played it the first time not as a "console kiddie" as other PC players would put it...but I was used to the insanely fast degradation in base DS2 on PC. It seemed noticeably slower when I played a bit of the PC version of SotFS. Might have just been in my head.

Ringed City is way better than the Artorias one, and there's a lot more armor variety in 3.

and I disagree about the lore; 3 is a good continuation of the first two.

idk about all this but all I know is vanilla DS2 is piss easy even if that weapon shit happened, but it's so easy you don't notice as much.

now in SotFS.. let's just say.. you notice. they did fix it a bit though, thank god.

edit: vanilla 2 was easy because of the levels V enemy placement. this is what SotFS changed. and it is bbbbrrrrrruuuuuutttttaaaaalllll in comparison.

3 has a good combat engine, that's really it

The actual weapon variety blows, 3 revolves around meta weapons far more than any of the previous titles, weapons that are 1 touch kills in PvP (pre nerf twinswords is one of the dumbest things ever), hornet ring, probably the easiest parrying ever barring pre nerf monastery scimitar in ds2, the world connectivity is actually worse than ds2, the covenants are mostly boring and uninteresting, etc etc

I legitimately believe 3 took the series in am even worse direction and is in dire need of a SotFS esque overhaul

The only thing DS1 has going for it is world layout/connectivity. Everything else has been improved upon, some of it greatly so.

DS3 was steps back from 2 in a lot of ways.

At least in 2 you could choose how to tackle which area first.

In 3 you don't get to really choose how to progress other than like picking Anor Lindo or Irithyll Dungeon first. You're locked into a linear world for the bulk of the game. 2 let you sequence break to grab stronger gear early on if you know what you were doing (such as falling down the Majula well for an early branch to get access to weapons such as the Claymore faster)

There's little reason to remaster a game, especially this early, save for fanservice. And the loudest DS1 fans insist its massive, numerous flaws are actually what makes it so great, so perfect and above the other games.

So all the mishandling of remastering it will likely be for the sake of pleasing them.

iirc, there are a few places in Dark Souls 3 where you have more than option to progress, and you can sequence break by killing that one old woman to access Lothric Castle a lot earlier on

Just LOL man. Artorias is literally the epitome of the greatest Souls bosses along w Orn/Smough, Manus, Nameless, etc. how can you actually argue this. every boss in that DLC was legit including that prick that showed up before you even got to traverse an actual level.

best DLC in the series. runner up is souls 2's

PC dark souls 1 has a 60fps patch mod that works flawlessly.
