The Space Jump had terrible controls until Metroid Fusion. Hell I think the controls got better in general until Fusion.

Actually, it did take me a few mimutes to figure out why my wall jumps never worked since I had a decade of Mega Man X under my belt the first time I ever played a Metroid game, but once I figured it out it's not bad at all.

The problem is more that the space jump is one of the most poorly functioning things ever.

Wall jumping was a pain in my ass too. Especially with how it works in mega man x.

But its like once you get the hang of it, you can do it all day if needed.

The space jump is frustrating because sometimes the button actions dont seem to work. Youll be jumping just fine pressing the buttons at the same velocity, and then it craps out on you.
