It's a slow burn like any Bioware game is. The inventory/equipment management could be improved though, and the areas have MMORPG-like interest points marked everywhere if you're wary of that kind of thing.

I tried playing it a few times but couldn't keep it up. I liked being a 2h warrior in Origins and it just wasn't very fun in Inquisition to me. I've actually been thinking about doing a whole trilogy playthrough because I've hated on Dragon Age 2 since I played it (which is like 6 years ago) and am interested to see if my opinion would change at this point. I'm thinking I'll go 2h warrior in Origins, dual-wield Rogue in 2, then maybe Knight Enchanter in Inquisition because that seems to be one of the more fun classes to play as, from what I read.

Also, if you're playing a mage or 2h raver, the sigil of the great bear is amazing. Less health but more stamina/mana

Great bear sigil increase max stamina/mana but decreases regeneration. It's good for mages, but bad for warriors/rogues

Depends on certain factors. It'd always bad for rogues. Not good for tanks, but it can be good for 2h ravers situational, not as good as the sigil of the revenant for them though. For mages it's excellent, sort of. It's great for ke and rift, but Pyro necros really need that faster regen, unless you also have kitty collar, then it's fine.

I think I have some Great Bear sigils laying around -- might try one out.

BTW, Vivienne has some mission where she wants a snowy wyvern heart. What happens if you kill a regular one and give it to her?

There's a specific one for the quest I think.

Yeah, but you can give her a fake one. She knows and you get massive disapproval for it though.

other than that. don't think is any consequence, so is up to you if you trust her or not with being entirely truthful with you about it all (or want to make an innocent manner to stick it to her, despite likely duplicity given it is Vivienne)

It's worth giving her the real one. No real reason not to, and she tells you a pretty touching story about her past.

I mean, never know how much is her just lying to use you or not! Not sure I trusted a thing she said, as she was clearly always seeking a way to climb the social ladder.

My favorite thing about Inquisition is that your crew have their own goals and objectives. Sometimes it doesn't always benefit you.

Bioware often go the easy route of having your party members absolutely idolize you and just following your lead regardless.

Well, started it up again last week since I beat a couple games I was working on so had more room on my plate. Already farther than I got last time. Just playing on Hard with no other difficulty modifiers and going a lot smoother and more enjoyable than the first go at it. Going with the female elf mage since that seems to be the prevailing recommendation for best story.

I picked up the GotY for like 5 bucks around 2 years ago. Even still today it was the only DA game I've played. Most of the time I had no idea what I was doing or why, and just following quest markers. I did end up beating it and I did enjoy it. I didn't like it enough to go back and play the other DA games though.

Origins is the only other one worth playing. And it'd an entirely different experience between pc and console. The console versions play more like a non turn based kotor. The pc version plays more like baldurs gate.

Yeah, the VA in inquisition was amazing in general I felt (for most part anyway, with the main crew) but the female protagonist (British one anyway) knocked it out the park and beyond in that scene.

this is pretty insulting. i wasn't confused in the least at Sera's accent. what are you even saying is confusing about it to "Americans"?

Many Americans on the DAI board didn't get that her accent is a normal English accent as most American media either gives us a cockney or overly posh accent and that tends to be what you guys think we all have in every country in the UK lol. No offense meant.
