6 years in the US and I still take my shopping cart back to appropriate locations. Wtf is with Americans just leaving their carts all over the parking lot? Its at most 30 seconds of your time.

The absolute worst is when theres a cart taking up a parking spot, when the turn in is literally the spot next to it. Or when a shopping cart is taking up a handicap spot.

Are you guys slobs with your shopping carts or do you take them back?

Btw, I always wash my hands after using a public restroom, but a lot of other guys don't. Do you think they're just lazy or dirty?

People do that because there's no accountability. Someone will eventually return the cart, so they don't bother.

I cant imagine having to deal with that crap. And why on earth would people leave stuff in it? I just dont understand. It gets cold af in Montreal and Ive never seen that issue.

Ewww! Sounds like both. Wtf man.

This is actually one the things I like from the USA. Mostly everyone is educated like TC and put their shopping carts back. Heck even having dedicated places to leave your cart is great.

Otherwise it becomes very annoying seeing carts everywhere which happens on other countries

You see this a lot in the UK, nobody bothers to wash their hands and a load of toilets stink of piss.

When I went to Italy, I didn't see a single person leave without washing their hands thoroughly, it was refreshing to see actually.

I did my job by buying groceries, which pays for those people who fetch the carts. That said, if I'm in a hurry or if the nearest cart return is around 40 or so feet away, fuck that. I'll just throw my cart with the closest group of carts.

My first job was at a supermarket. I used to have to get the carts from the parking lot. Especially fun during New England winters :^)

The absolute worst are old or handicapped people who leave their carts in the handicapped parking spots. Its like, you are completely fucked if someone left the cart there when you pulled in and yet you are going to make someone elses life so much more difficult because you wont return a cart?? Its insane the complete lack of empathy they have and youd think they would understand completely how much of an asshole action it is

I always return my cart, and if I have a few extra seconds, I'll quickly segregate the small carts from the large ones so they're in two separate rows : )
