Seems like a logical step since halal butchering is illegal in Switzerland.

I like to see the consistency boiling live lobsters while delicious is pretty horrible.

Meh, generally laws regarding inhumane ways to kill animals are dumb, but at least its not just an all-out attack on Muslims traditions, so whatever.

Not sure if boiling lobsters live is even that big of a deal in regards to how much pain they suffer, but again, whatever.

The only time I've cooked live lobster, I stuck a knife through it's head first. Anyways, people that don't care wont stop in their homes, restaurants will.
I question the idea that boiling lobsters live increases the total suffering in the universe.

It's human narcissism really. Especially with lobsters because of the "scream" we feel bad because we imagine ourselves in their place so we do everything we can to make literally boiling and cracking their bones to eat their flesh "humane"

Boiling something alive seems like something a Bond villain would do. I guess they think every time someone drops a lobster in boiling water, they look up with their arms raised and do the infamous evil laugh.

Not really. In one case, you have a restaurant environment where cooks are butchering live animals. A lot messier and more visibly brutal, not to mention less sanitary.
