You gotta get a feel for it, become your role. And you gotta have a good writing partner or partners, of course.

Chat-based roleplay is mostly dead these days... It's kinda sad. It can be such a creative outlet, and it's fun with the right people.

Yes, I just mean it used to be much more prevalent. Even here, before. Nowadays you get mocked and insulted for being a roleplayer unless you're on sites or boards specifically for that. Luckily reddit has a few dedicated subs for this.

Tons of that happening on Moon Guard, a World of WarCraft server. Just be warned: most likely everybody you roleplay with will be a dude. And I'm not talking about male in-game characters, I'm talking about pretending to be a female Night Elf with no clothes on constantly /bowing and /dancing.

To me, it doesn't matter if my partner is male or female as long as they play their role well and sincerely. But if they're just dumb and drooling and being gross, that's a big no thank you.
