My mom used to wear shoes like that for cleaning back in the 90s. She would commonly pick them up from the dollar store. Maybe those are trendy now, but I would have an aversion to wearing them just or that reason. Typically, I wear black dress shoes or black and green running shoes. At the gym, I wear black yellow and orange Reebok nanos

It's kind of like how there were those lacy pastel colored rompers for men trending all over Instagram and Facebook that nobody wore and we all laughed at, except these are shoes.

No show socks or sockless for sure unless you're wearing jeans that will cover your long socks. I wear boots (usually wingtips) and cuff my jeans (usually selvedge). Nothing wrong with a nice cuff.
