27 y/o Black Lives Matter Icon, and daughter of Eric Garner has died on Saturday after suffering a major brain damage from a massive heart attack on Christmas Eve!!

Her mother, Esaw Snipes-Garner said her daughter went into cardiac arrest during an asthma attack and slipped into a coma

She suffered her first heart attack not long after giving birth to her son back in August. The pregnancy put a strain on her heart which was found to be enlarged

Her family posted on twitter "Erica, the world loves you, i love you. I am glad you came into our lives. May you find peace in the next life that you deserved while you were here. I will always love you my sister, love you"

The administrator of her twitter account faced backlash after a post requesting that ONLY black journalists reach out to the family where it said "Out of respect to Erica please do not request comment if the journalist is not black" which likely was sent by spokesman Reggie Harris

Twitter users were outraged who became prominent of anti-police brutality after Eric Garner was murdered by then ex NYPD officer Daniel Pantaleo who put him in a chokehold but was NOT indicted, only fired.

Eric Garner was unarmed and was asking why he was being arrested before the physically violent Daniel went behind him and put him in a chokehold to "restrain" him but Eric ended up having a heart attack and died as his last words were "i can't breathe"

He was accused of illegally selling cigarettes on a sidewalk

Social media users called the post racist and it insulted Erica's message of unity and equality.

Al Sharpton said that Erica fought for justice and was a "warrior to the end"

Erica and her mother, Esaw were political in the 2016 election but were on different sides as Erica fought for Bernie Sanders and Esaw for Hillary Clinton.
