That person is clearly a threat to other human beings, therefore with that in mind he should be kept in an environment where he does not pose a threat to other human beings. It's really as simple as that. At this point, you've become the thought police. It serves our society more to treat pedophiles to help them curb behavior than it is to run around as the thought police and tossing people in prison who haven't committed a crime. Pedophiles can "function" as normal people though. They live among us, doing "day by day" routines, working at a job, caring for a family, etc. Yet despite that, pedophiles are capable of committing heinous crimes. Why bother letting them waltz free, when we can bar them for life?
