Vape.

I started because I was tired of going outside in the snow to smoke. It's easier, potentially cheaper, definitely healthier, and doing so in public doesn't require you to litter.

I almost never see people in my town smoking cigarettes.

The only way I quit was I had to have some dental work done and I was on pain meds for about three days and I was sleeping a lot. So I pretty much slept through the hard days and once I was up and moving around again, I no longer had the craving as badly as I would have, and thus is was easier to stop

I still get cravings, though, and I eat a lot more now. I used to be so skinny, but I've put on so much weight after I've quit

this. smells a hell of a lot less and stops the deathly nicotine cravings if you get juice with it in there. I brought a pack of ciggies on tuesday and only touched like two out of em. Honestly feel like I could go without them.

That said now I'm kinda starting to feel hooked to the vape... but it's 3x cheaper and doesn't feel or stink like ass so I don't really mind.

I wish I could figure out the 420 Vapes. I've bought three over the years and I can't get any of them to work.

Dont start vaping. Kick it all together.

It was tough for me but Im 4 years smoke free. The way I did it was just slowly cut back. I would literally wait till I couldnt take it anymore then have one. At first I could only go a short time, then I was able to go for hours and so on.

Eventually I cut it down to one or two a day. Then I forced myself to go a day without. Eventually I was able to go 2 full days without it and thats when I forced myself to never go back.

It takes time. The first few weeks being completely cig free wasnt that bad. It was the random cravings that would pop up months later. I would literally have to sit down and white knuckle through it. But over time even those became more infrequent, less intense, and shorter.

I just needed to know my triggers. I liked smoking at night, I liked taking walks on a cold night and smoke and think and brood lol. I had to tell myself not to give in to it at those times Id want one.

You do readjust. Now when I smell cig smoke its smells disgusting to me

I'm a big walker as well, and I agree that this was a hard part for me as well.

Did you starting eating a lot like me?

I actually started drinking a ton of water all the time. It helped as well holding a bottle of water in my hand, as I got used to hold a cigarette.

Ive never been a big desserts person but I did develop a slight sweet tooth since quitting. Nothing too bad but occasionally I need a piece of chocolate or something. A square or two of dark chocolate is good for you anyway. So I make sure to do it sparingly

That's good

I quit about 4 years ago now and I still feel the need to chew on something all the time, and thus I've gotten a bit fat with all the extra food I eat now. I was in a lot better shape when I smoked, lol
