Weightless pick axe seems much more useful. honestly in like 200 hours of playing and exploring i've probably actually mined like 10 veins <_< Maxing smithing is so much easier when you just rinse and repeat with iron mines to transmute into gold until you can make dwarf stuff, then melt down things for that then make bows until you can make ebony bows. 3 dungeon crawls and 6 mines to go from 15 to 100.
