People on the internet tried out for the basketball team in middle school and it didn't work out. So this is where we are.

It's not that he left Oklahoma City. It's that he chose to take the easiest path possible to that championship by going to a team that was already championship-caliber and riding Curry's coattails to a ring. If Durant had gone anywhere else besides Golden State and Cleveland, he would still have way more respect from the fans than he does now, and might have that championship already as well. San Antonio, Houston, Boston, Toronto... there were plenty of teams that Durant could have gone to and made them a serious threat to the Warriors vs. LeBron finals matchup. But now, that matchup is basically inevitable for the next 3-4 years unless LeBron moves to the west.

If you had a choice between a million dollar job at the best company or get a 100,000 dollar job at a not as good company for a chance to make it somewhat as good as the best, would you take it?

I don't know. Houston, and OKC is looking good this year. And I'm a Warriors fan.

OKC actually hasn't looked that great this year. They've been really underperforming.

They have been playing better lately though. They're finally over .500 after being under for most of the season.

because people think every top tier player needs to have the same attitude of being the main man

like fuck that, if I were in his position I would have done the same thing. I rather be the 3rd best player on a championship tier team that has a 85% chance of winning the title than being on a team where I'm the best player on a championship tier team that has a 25% chance of winning the title.

it sucks that the league isn't as competitive because he went to the best team but that's none of his concern to be honest.
