You can sell it into a USD wallet and then use that to buy ETH. But there are fees for both transactions.

Not sure if you guys know this but the huge dip happening right now most likely is from the passing of the Senate of the new tax bill which, once signed by Trump, will treat every like-kind transaction (e.g. Using BTC to purchase ETH) as a taxable event effectively destroying daytrading.

Ahhhhhh!!! I had this crazy feeling to cash out LTC at $375. I told myself to do that and it even dipped and went back up multiple times, almost as like a "come on man, do it before it pops." Then "Take the Money and Run" came on the radio...I didn't take the money nor did I run.

Now I'm feeling like an idiot.

As someone that bought $50 each of ETH, LTC, and BTC a few weeks back I would say the hard part is not refreshing it every hour to see. It's supposed to be a long term investment not a get rich quick scheme so my goal was to always give it 6 months and then see where I'm at after it.

At least would I also be able to deduct my losses from my taxes? Or is it just more money for the government and screw everyone else?

yeah starting january 1st, but for that you buy and hold long term in one coin, swapping is done for. this is how the government regulates crypto, they know its a headache for people to keep track of every single transaction so they wont even bother.
