I know nothing of computer parts, this is what someone suggested

But I want to play some games on there, need it to be a laptop instead of PC (for other reasons)

I don't care about next gen, some current gen would be nice

You're not getting a 1060 in a laptop for $700. It'll probably cost $1000 at least.

Idk anything about laptops but 700 for a 1050/i7 seems average. Lol

I can go $800-900

It's mostly to play games that I get on bundle sites, not AAA high specs

Oh yeah then you could definitely get at least an i5/1050 for $700. If you could swing for an i7/1050 Ti like what Green Butter posted then that would be better though.

Edit: You don't really need it based on what you're saying but it would give you more longevity at least.

Would the $800 one suffice?

Then forget it. Its likely 1400+ for those specs. The 15.6" versions are little bit cheaper though.

Just stay away from HP, and gigabit. Both are shitty brands and has always huge noise and heat issues.

Yeah it would more than suffice. It's the best thing you can get for under $1k.
