I know how you feel. My laptop HDD broke some time ago. Booting used to take few min and there was some hang ups now and then, but with SSD, it boots in like 20 seconds or less, and i can instantly start using this laptop when it reaches the desktop screen. starting up chrome immediately used to cause 15 seconds hang, and it would be pretty slow until all programs have loaded up, but now its instantly usable.
This 500gb SSD i have cost 220, so SSD still cost more, but for me its definitely worth it. I won't ever go back to HDD's. Also, less noise. This laptop is pretty much silent when i'm not playing something. Another great thing is that i no longer need to defrag the HDD which used to take long time. --- Can't think any good sig ...
