Also have you tried veal bacon?

Crispy always. There's few things more disappointing in life than being served soft, light pink chewy bacon. I want that caramalised, deep red crispy colour, with all the fat totally rendered. That's where the flavour is at.

Sometimes I do it American style, with a bit of sugar or maple syrup in the pan to get that honeyed candy effect.

I grew up with half crispy, half chewy, so it was a bit odd for me to go somewhere and get crispy bacon because half the time it's overcooked and it looks shriveled up. Never had just chewy bacon, sounds kinda nasty tbh.

Right in the middle, but a tad bit toward chewy. Bacon shouldn't break into pieces like peanut brittle when you bite it, that's quality meat abuse.

That is bacon at it's peak. You don't even have to bite it, just break a piece off in your mouth and it melts.

Turkey bacon is shit and is an abomination to even be called bacon. Never tried veal bacon.

Crispy crispy crispy. Otherwise it's too much like gross ham.

I like the extra thick cut bacon. Some of the crap that passes itself off as bacon is an embarrassment to the animal that gave it's life for it.
