Has your wife/gf ever called another guy "good looking", "handsome", "hot" or something to that degree? It could be anyone you know personally or not. Could be a celebrity, an actor, athlete, etc... And what was your reaction to this?

I don't have a gf (never had) but I'm worried that once I get married I may get really jealous and suspicious of my wife if she called anyone good looking other than me. I'm like that guy from Raging Bull. I will get very paranoid and start questioning her loyalty. I'm worried about that.

No, my wife has never said anything like that to me. She did say she liked the way one man's hair looked and thought it might look good on me. She was right. She lost a lot of weight recently and needs some plastic surgery to take care of the loose skin. We are currently boob shopping, so she keeps showing me pics and asking what I think.

Then you may never get married. There's generally a phase called "dating" where you get to know someone first before both agreeing to spend the rest of y'all's lives with each other. I suspect she'll remark on the attractiveness of another human at some point therein.

That said, my reaction is benign. Sometimes it's just a "yeah, okay" and resume whatever I was doing, and sometimes I'll give her comment a bit of attention with a look and "wow, yeah. He is handsome" where we can gawk at him together or I can make an "elbows too pointy" joke.

Note that there's a difference between "I think he's hot" and "I think he's hot, so I'm going to fling myself at him with complete disregard for you and our relationship". There's a 99.9% chance she's just making conversation with an observation.

Do you honestly suspect you'll stop finding every single other woman ever attractive once you're married to one of em?

It does seem like there is kind of a double standard there, girls will say it and the guy shrugs it off, but the guy knows to just not say it... >_>

Anyway, my wife will comment on celebrities (Henry Cavill and Michael Fassbender specifically lately) but not really people we know IRL that I recall.

At first, she would do it once in a while and I'd get really jealous, sometimes even angry about it. It was like that for the first year or two.

She does it all the time now but it doesn't bother me anymore. It's been 10 years now though and we're engaged and have a baby. We know neither of us are going anywhere.

I've been dating my boyfriend for nearly a year now and it still bothers me whenever he talks about finding another man attractive. Not that he does it often, but times have come up where he makes a remark about a celebrity's or athlete's good looks. But I'm just insecure like that.
