A friend and I were hiking pretty deep in the woods and one way or another we ended up losing the trail markers, and like dummies we started to wander...then it started getting dark. Thank everything for 911 and children's summer camps.

i was at a conference in vegas the night of the shooting, was in my room on lock down. at around 9am the next day they lifted the lock down, went out to get some food and about 10 foot from the front door of the hotel a shit ton of swat guys come busting through screaming at everyone to leave the area scaring the shit out of everyone. rushed back to my room, apparently it was a hoax bomb threat...

A couple of months ago, I was playing RE7 at night, alone. Then the large picture frame in my living room came unhindged and fell to the marble floor. It was sudden and loud as fuck. I got scared shitless and broke my controller on the ground.

About 9 years ago when my wife almost left me. A "friend" of hers had been working to convince my wife that I was no good for her and an absolute bum, and instead of talking to me about it she left a note that she was leaving me and went to her "friend's" house.

Walked about 20 miles in the summer in Texas to go from the suburb I was living in to that person's house to talk to my wife about it. She came back with me and we've been happy together ever since. Though up until about a few months ago I would still have night terrors over it.

Easter of 2014.

Car accident that I saw coming but couldnt prevent. My car had broken down and I was about to push it to the side of the road when I saw one more car coming from the distance. Hazards were on and everything and everyone else had just went around so I assumed this guy, who was at least 400 meters away would have seen me (he wasn't paying any attention at fucking all and to this day it pisses me off). The closer he got the more worried I got, and when he was about 10 car lengths away from hitting me (on a 45MPH road while he was going at least 50), I braced for impact, put my seatbelt back on and just thought "I'm going to die oh fuck oh fuck no please". Thankfully I DIDNT die and I was especially thankful I didnt get out to start pushing my car assuming that the guy who was 93729723 feet away would have seen me. If I had made any other decision I definitely wouldn't be alive today.

this isn't like "horror" or life threatening scary... but I was drifting off to sleep about two weeks ago and i started hearing this low dull hum come from my middle finger. And I could feel the hum too. It sounded like the recorder instrument that they made us play in elementary school. And my finger was twitching and I could hear the tone get higher or lower based on how it was twitching. I woke up in a panic and I can still sorta feel and hear that hum in my middle finger.

It was fucking weird. One of those sleep hallucinations. I have bad tinnitus so I'm used to hearing ringing... but it was nothing like that.

I go through periods where I can be pretty jumpy, but in terms of consciously scared... I dunno... Probably when I heard dress shoe footsteps walking down the hall towards me when I was home alone. They stopped near my bed, turned, and walked away. Nothing was there. It was fucked up.

Edit: oops, this was probably last winter.

This morning I was paranoid that I didn't turn in an assignment that's worth enough points that I would fail the course, and it's a pre-rec for a couple upper level courses in my major.

I turned it in though, so it's all good.
