There was no sexual contact. He didn't do anything sexual to the guy.

If you would have continued on with your own definition - "Sexual assault is any type of sexual contact or behavior that occurs without the explicit consent of the recipient. Falling under the definition of sexual assault are sexual activities as forced sexual intercourse, forcible sodomy, child molestation, incest, fondling, and attempted rape."

Spacey did none of those things.

Those are examples. Not every example. Thats why the definition is there. Its to include interpretations that cant be explicitly stated with one word examples. Anthony Rapp definitely seems to believe it was unwanted sexual contact. I feel like you're diminishing the seriousness because he was 14. Would you say the same if they were 8?

Or better yet... what would you call it if a man grabbed you and threw you onto a bed and got on top of you without your consent? Would that not be unwanted sexual contact in your mind? Maybe it's just innocent wrestling?

He was 14 at an adult party in the film industry. He was a teenager, not an 8 year old. I would not say the same thing about an 8 year old of course not. They aren't sexually mature like a 14 year old is. I was having sex as a 14 year old. 8 year olds aren't having sex.

It's not innocent wrestling but it's not sexual assault. It's not appropriate and it is harassment.

Well again like I and several other posters have been trying to get across in this topic, no one is saying he's in the moral right here.

I agree. No one is saying it isn't a big deal. And actually, luckily, it appears this kid actually had the courage to say no and push him off and hide in the bathroom. A lot of 14 year olds wouldn't have even had the courage to do that.

This is, again, all under the assumption his accusation is true.
